Hotel Reviews
ibis Styles Goa Calangute
Address: Survey 166 Naikawaddo, Calangute, Goa 403516, India
I had the pleasure of staying at the ibis Styles
Goa hotel in November 2022, and I must say
that our experience exceeded our
expectations. Despite being classified as a
three-star hotel, I would personally rate it even higher due to the exceptional quality of our
stay.
The hotel boasts two delightful swimming pools and provides ample space for parking, which
was especially convenient for our car and driver. Our driver was able to utilize the covered
parking area, ensuring the safety of the vehicle throughout our stay.
Located just a 12-minute walk away from the beach, with Tivai Beach only 500 meters away and Calangute Beach at a distance of 2.5 kilometers,
the hotel offers a convenient proximity to the coastal attractions. While there may not be an abundance of shopping options immediately outside
the hotel, this was not an issue for us as we had the convenience of our own car and driver.
The rooms at the ibis Styles Goa were impeccably clean and tastefully decorated, providing a comfortable and
pleasant environment. The washroom was also exceptionally clean, and we were provided with an ample
supply of toiletries.
I must mention that one of the photos we took was captured from our room's balcony, showcasing the
beautiful surroundings. The hotel also offers a lovely dining hall as well as a covered outdoor dining area. We
particularly enjoyed their piping hot tea, which added to the overall delightful experience. The hotel's interior
and exterior decor are impressive, creating an appealing ambiance throughout.
Overall, our stay at the ibis Styles Goa hotel was truly enjoyable, with its superb amenities, cleanliness, and
friendly staff. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a pleasant and comfortable stay in Goa.
Hotel J H Bazaz
Address: Ist Cross Lane Boulevard Road Buchwara Dalgate Srinagar
I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel from November 4th to 7th. It had received high ratings on Trip Advisor, which initially led me to consider
it for my stay in Srinagar. Before finalizing my reservation, I decided to contact the hotel to confirm its proximity to Dal Lake, one of the major
attractions in the area. Additionally, I arranged for an airport pickup.
Upon arrival, we were greeted at the airport and transported to the hotel. However, when we arrived and saw the hotel in person, we realized
that we had made a mistake. It turned out to be a very small establishment, appearing more like a converted house than a proper hotel. The
rooms and corridors were cramped, lacking adequate space. The dining hall consisted of a small room with a single large table and chairs.
Despite the hotel's claim of being just 150 meters away from the
world-famous Dal Lake at Dalgate, the surrounding area was not
safe for walking, particularly after dark. We chose not to dine at
the hotel, and we hardly encountered any staff members apart
from the owner and the driver who picked us up from the
airport. It was, perhaps, the most disappointing hotel
experience we have ever had.
To gain a better understanding of the route from Dal Lake to J H
Bazaz Hotel, I recommend watching a video that showcases the
path. This visual guide can be particularly helpful for tourists
planning to walk from Dal Lake to the hotel. However, it's
important to note that walking back to the hotel at night can
pose challenges, especially for foreign tourists. The video starts
with a drive on Dal Lake Road and, at the 16-second mark,
transitions to the path leading to the hotel and ends as we get
out of the car in front of the hotel. It is crucial to review the route you would need to take if you choose to walk back to the hotel during nighttime
hours.
Rang Mahal Hotel - JAISALMER, India
Address: 5, Hotel Complex, Sam Road, Post Box No 50 Jaisalmer
I had the opportunity to stay at the Rang Mahal hotel in Jaisalmer, and I
must say it was truly a delightful experience. This hotel stands out as one
of the rare exceptions where the pictures posted online accurately
represent the reality you encounter upon arrival. Needless to say, the
hotel is meticulously designed and impeccably maintained, making it a
wonderful place to stay.
The property itself is clean, spacious, and exudes a sense of elegance.
The room we stayed in was notably spacious, and the washroom was
kept impeccably clean. The overall atmosphere of the hotel had a palatial
charm, which added to the overall experience. Additionally, the presence
of a beautiful pool and garden further enhanced the holiday mood and
provided a serene ambiance.
Prior to our stay at the Rang Mahal hotel, we spent two days in an air-conditioned tent at the
Winds desert camp in Jaisalmer. Moving from the desert to a modern hotel was truly a unique
experience, and we appreciated the stark contrast between the two settings.
The front desk staff at the Rang Mahal hotel were not only well dressed but also friendly and
accommodating. The dining room was spacious and the entire staff conducted themselves
with politeness and courtesy, creating a pleasant dining experience.
Overall, my stay at the Rang Mahal hotel was exceptional. The hotel's well-maintained
property, spacious rooms, clean facilities, and welcoming staff contributed to a memorable
experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Jaisalmer.
