Address: PG-59 Connaught Circus, New Delhi, Delhi 110001, India Phone: +91 11 4690 9090 My wife and I stayed at Radisson Blu Marina Hotel in Connaught Place, New Delhi, India, from July 26, 2023, to July 29, 2023. The hotel has an excellent central location, making it convenient for both business and leisure travelers. Although not very large, the lobby is situated on the first floor, accessible via a small elevator from the ground floor. I believe there is only one elevator at this hotel. There were no robes provided in the room despite the hotel's website advertising the availability of robes in the rooms. Once we made a request for robes, they were provided. Generally, the hotel is clean, and the food meets expectations. The abundance of dining options around Connaught Place is a notable advantage. Prior to this stay in July 2023, we have stayed at this hotel in December 2022 also and enjoyed New Year's Eve dinner in 2022. However, there is a recurring issue that the management needs to address. On both occasions of our stay, we encountered staff members who, despite not providing any service to us during our stay, followed us out of the hotel to solicit tips during check-out. During our last stay one person brought out our luggage but another hotel employee and a security person whom we had never seen before followed us right up the car. The security person stood near our car and was signaling other people in the lobby to also come forward to get tips. Other than the tip left in the room for room service, there are three other people that I noticed deserved tips. The doorman at the front door, the person working the X-ray machine in the lobby and the person who helps carry out your luggage. Despite giving out tips one person went so far as to bang on the car window as we drove away. Given these experiences, we have chosen to book our upcoming visit to India in January 2023 at the Hyatt hotel. We have reservations for a 24-day stay and will share our review of the Hyatt hotel after our visit. Reviews for other hotels in India that we have stayed in will be posted soon.
