Travel to Goa - Airfare . . . Traveling to Goa from anywhere within India is actually quite easy as Goa is well connected by air, road and trains. Now see the final fare shown for the same flight departing on the same date and time after taxes are added. The price jumps to Rupees 5,097, a lot more than the original price of Rupees 1270.  This works out to taxes and other fees of various kinds of Rupees 3,827. Actually a lot more than double the ticket price! The breakdown of Charges and fee shown of Rupees 233, 50, 225 and 219 when added work out to Rupees 727. What's the other 3100 Rupees charged for? Always look at the final price when shopping for local airline tickets in India. It may not even hurt to get reservations done from abroad, this way at least you know exactly what you are paying before you leave home.

Flying from Mumbai to Goa

The time taken to fly from Mumbai to Goa is only one hour. This compared to a nine hour train journey. However when you factor in the time to arrive at airports for security checks etc. the time saving is less. The price of a air ticket from Mumbai to Goa, using the same example I showed for the Goa Delhi flight, the initial price quote, for the same airline, taking a flight on May 16, 2012, the price of the ticket is Rupees 1200. The final price that has to be paid for this ticket after the extras are added is shown as Rupees 2878. All things being considered, its a lot easy and cheaper to travel to Goa from Mumbai than from Delhi.
