Many may not know that he is also the builder of the Jama Masjid. Jama Masjid is in the Chandni Chowk and the Red Fort are of old Delhi. It is said to be the largest mosque in India and approximately 25,000 people can pray here at a time. In 2011 according to news reports in the Indian media, A new mosque to be built in Kerala will soon become the largest mosque in India where 25,000 to 30,000 people can pray at a time. This will make Jama Masjid the second largest in India.
