The city of Delhi has two distinct parts, Old Delhi & New Delhi. New Delhi is the national capital of India. Delhi is the one of the most widely used entry point into the country, being on the route of most major airlines. Delhi is well connected with major cities of India by air, rail and roadways.  Weather wise, Delhi does suffer from extreme weather conditions, it can get very hot in the summer months and very cold in the winter months. The months of January and February there is quite a bit of fog that often disrupts air travel. Delhi is part of what is called in tourism circles as the golden triangle. This consists of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. Many tours are available for touring the golden triangle cities.

This park is situated in the southern part of the Delhi ridge in New Delhi, away from the crowded areas of the city. This is a favorite for many families for a picnic outing. Enjoy the outdoor greenery, flowers and rock garden settings in the park. A popular place for teenagers and young couples during week days who wish to enjoy a place of privacy and avoid large crowds. Location of park: Ridge Road near Dhaula Kuan, Delhi. Time to Visit: Open on all days Timings: 5.00 a.m.- 7.00 p.m. Admission Fee: Free and open to all. How to Reach: Tourists can either take local buses from various points within the city to reach the park, or they can hire auto-rickshaws and taxis. Nearest Railway Station: New Delhi Railway Station. 

Akshardham Temple

The Akshardham Temple offers visitors the opportunity to experience is an enlightening journey through India’s glorious art, values and contributions for the progress, happiness and harmony of mankind. Your visit to Delhi, is incomplete unless you visit this marvel. There is so much to see here that you will need the entire day. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 9:30 am. The last entry allowed is at 6:30 pm. The temple is closed on Monday. While entry to the Akshardham complex is free, tickets must be purchased to view the various exhibitions at Akshardham. Adults pay Rs. 170/- Children from 4 to 12 years are charged Rs. 100/- Children below 4 years of age, free. Senior citizens are charged Rs. 125/-.
